Limerick
Corlann Limerick provides a range of services to adults with an intellectual disability in the Limerick Region, as well as therapeutic supports to children with a complex presentation arising from a disability
About us
In 1977 our Bawnmore campus welcomed its first residents. At that time, Bawnmore was hailed as the most modern residential centre (with 150 places) for adults with intellectual disabilities in Europe.
An additional 100 residential places materialised in the 1980s in the form of community houses in Limerick City & County and in County Clare. Today, Corlann Limerick supports over 320 adults with intellectual disabilities and autism in homes and day services largely located in the community across Limerick city and county. Over 900 children and their families receive support in West Limerick for our Children’s Disability Network Team.
